3 months! (June 25)

 IMG_2941 IMG_2940

I can’t believe you boys are 3 months old!  Time is sure flying by and we are having so much fun!  I have a feeling I will say this every month too, but what a fun stage this is!!!  According to the books, you are no longer newborns, you are infants now.  Wake time is up to about an hour and a half, you both started giggling this month, you both found your fists and they are always in your mouth, drool and bubbles (and spit up) are what we can find all over your mouth and clothes, and over all, you both are just happy babies!  This month, you were in your first wedding (Aunt Julie and Uncle Jerrod), met your Uncle Grant and cousins, Jaxson and Gracyn (you met Aunt Jenn last month), and went to your first birthday parties (Addison and Berkley). You both have become big talkers like your dad.  (I have a feeling your teachers will be telling me this one day too).  Mommy and daddy are LOVING this time with you!  You are both starting to break out of your swaddles every time you are in them which means it is about time to switch you over to your sleep sacks.  Both of you are getting so strong and the days of you sleeping together in the same crib are almost over.  All these changes and transitions are hard on your mommy but I know it is part of it.  One of my friends recently told me the saying “Love it and leave it” meaning love and enjoy the stages you are in and then leave them behind because you (your babies) will move on to new and exciting things.  You don’t go back to the pediatrician until you are 4 months so we weighed you at home and Gage is about 14 pounds and Graham is about 13 pounds.

You are the happiest baby!  You still wake up with a big smile on your face, even when brother wakes you up.  You love to talk to anyone and any thing.  This month, you love to talk to the ceiling fan, clock, and your feet.  I don’t think you will have any trouble making friends!  Nursing you takes any where from 20 minutes to an hour because of your talking!  You have never really liked the bottle, but this month you will not even take it, you refuse it!  You found your fists first, and they are ALWAYS in your mouth, when you are not swaddled of course.  You also started drooling first and with all the drool, you like to make bubbles and you are really trying to blow them too.  Mommy thought you were teething because of all the drool and fists in your mouth, but then realized this is a developmental thing for 3 month olds.  This month, we put you in your bumbo after tummy time, and you love it.  You get to look all around and smile and talk to whoever or what will listen to you.  Mommy started reading and singing to you while in your bumbo and you are not so much interested in the books, just singing.  Tummy time is getting longer and you still enjoy it.  We took out the whale pillow we used to prop you up on and now you use your elbows to prop up on and look around.  You like to try and stick your fists in your mouth during tummy time too, which makes it interesting.   Here are some pictures of this month with you:

You are such a sweet baby.  Even your “cooing” is sweet.  You seem more shy and when you talk, it is quiet, compared to your brother.  When you are “cooing”/ talking, you try so hard to get your “words” out.  Your dimples just melt my heart every time I see them.  You have the prettiest blue eyes and your hair is coming in thick and blonde!  These days, you like to nap for 45 minutes and then you are up until the next feeding.  Mommy doesn’t even have to entertain you, you can sit in your bouncy chair and talk to the animals, kick your feet and move your hands.  You LOVE to cuddle!  Your tummy time is getting SOOOOO much better!  The week you turned 3 months old, out of no where, you starting keeping your head up for more than a minute, closer to 2 or 3 minutes and that is huge for you!  When mommy reads to you, you love it.  You coo and smile at the pictures and you are so engaged in the book.  You also love when mommy sings to you.  (I am so glad you don’t know the difference in a pretty singing voice and a tone def one yet!)  Just like your brother, you found your fist this month and love to suck on it.  You also started drooling and trying to make bubbles.  You are eating so well, I am beginning to wonder if you will catch up with your brother.  We also introduced you to your bumbo.  You don’t mind your bumbo, as long as you can lean on your right shoulder.  Here are some pictures of this month with you:
