If you’re a blogger and you’re from Texas, you’ve probably been to the state Fair and blogged about it. If you’ve never been, GO!
The food, the rides, the people watching; all worth it!
So, here goes my “State Fair blog.”
Jared and I took the boys last Tuesday, October 9th.
The weather was perfect and so were the boys!
about to walk in
it was a little breezy :)
this is in front of the aquarium
I told them to stand by the fish so I could take their picture,
Graham had a better idea… push his brother out of the picture!
The boys LOVED seeing the fish (or “blub-blub”s as they call them)
This was their first time in an aquarium.
SHARKS!
looking at the sharks, “OH WOW!” says Graham
sting rays
sea horses
Lunch break
Eating fried chicken and Fletcher’s corn dogs
We went to the dog show, which the boys LOVED and sat still for most of the 20 minute show. The pictures I took inside the show, turned out really dark and blurry.
We found this random barn, with some horses and cows in it, so we wheeled our stroller through and took some pictures :)
Then, we went to the petting zoo but we couldn’t take our strollers through. Since I over pack anyway, and our stroller was loaded down, we weren’t about to leave our stroller outside while we went in the petting zoo, so we skipped this time. Plus, when we were looking at this big, nasty pig, there was a sign (I just skimmed through it) about “being cautious” and “swine flu.” I’m sure it was fine, but that was enough to keep our family away. :)
BIG TEX
We wore Gage out!
We’ve always enjoyed going to the fair, but this year was extra special because we brought the boys to experience the awesomeness!
