(We brought your 9 month stickers to Abilene to take pictures of you and you really can’t tell you have them on. OH well, we will go back to the boring white onesies next month.)

Wowzas! On December 25th, Gage and Graham, you turned 9 months old young.  In less than 3 months, you will be one.  Where has this year time gone???

Hands down, the BEST 9 months of mommy and daddy’s life!

It’s crazy to think that I was pregnant with you for almost 9 full months and you have been in this world for 9 months now.  I look at both of you pulling up, crawling everywhere, standing on your own, trying to walk, and I wonder where my “babies” have gone.

We went to your 9 month check-up and Dr. G was impressed at all you both are doing.  Makes this momma proud.

Gage, you weighed in at 17 lbs, 8 oz and 28.8 inches long.  Your weight was in the 10% (Dr. G said that’s ok, no worries, you are a busy boy) and height in the 75%.

Graham, you weighed in at 18 lbs 12 oz and 28 inches long.  Your weight was in the 25% and height in the 50-60%.  Way to go boys!

You both love

to sing and talk.

giggle at each other.

splash in the bath.

stand in your beds and talk babble across the room to each other.

play together.

chase crawl after each other, and then go the opposite way.

to clap.

Zoey.

play with anything that sings and/or lights up.

mommy, and can’t be out of her sight (super separation anxiety right now).

Everyday is sooooo much fun with both of you!

Full of life, energy, and spunk!  You Never. Slow. Down! You love to sit on your knees, bouncing up and down, and clap and holler at the same time.  You love to sit in the hallway and “call me”, as soon as we make eye contact, you take off crawling fast, as if you want me to chase you.  And I do.  And you take off even faster, giggling the whole way.

I think you have always been a “momma’s boy” but in the past few weeks, you won’t leave my side, or hip for that matter.  You are attached.  Not gonna lie, though, I secretly LOVE it.

I’m afraid some of your next new words you learn are going to be “No Gage!”  I feel like I say it all the time to you.  Sweet, curious boy, you just gotta check out everything and see how it all works.

Speaking of words. You still say ma-ma and da-da.  You also say “bah-bah,” (maybe bye-bye?) and “ni-ni” (maybe night night?) and an occasional “heh,” which I think is hey!  And a whole lot of jibberish I don’t understand.

You have been pulling up on everything for two months, and now you can sit to stand, without holding on to anything, but still no walking.  I’m still okay with that.

We love you, Gage Louis, and can’t imagine life without you!

We bought sturdier gates after this picture was taken.  You figured out how to push and pull the gates and let your brother and you escape.

You are turning into a silly boy.  You still make all these crazy sounds and cute faces.  You love to do your fake cough to get some sympathy attention from anyone who hears it.

You LOVE to dance.  Anytime music comes on, you rock back and forth on all fours, or you pull up on furniture and you rock your body, with rhythm I might add.  Something you got from your daddy, not mommy.

Your new thing this month, or right around the time you turned 9 months, is shaking your head no.  Your daddy and I are having so much fun with that too.  Just the other day, you had a crazy, stinky diaper and I asked you if you wanted me to change it, you shook your head no and so daddy had to change it. One point for me!  And then, your great grandmother, “Grandma Hogg,”  heard you doing your fake cough and she said, “That sounds a little fake, Graham, is that a fake cough?” and  you shook your head no.  It is so cute now, but in a year (or less) it will not be so cute.

Lately, you and your brother go after the same toy.  In the past, you just let Gage have it.  But recently, you have this “feistiness” and you take it right back and boy does that make your brother mad!

You still don’t say ma-ma, but I know when you say it, it will be wonderful!  You love to say da-da, and all the other sounds and noises you say, well, I’m just not real sure how to write or spell them.

You love to touch peoples faces and pull your brother’s hair.

Sometimes, you return back to your quiet, independent self, which makes it really hard to find you when you have escaped from me.

We love you, Graham Michael, and can’t imagine our life without you!
